Lisa Rooney

Lisa Rooney is a medicinal chemistry consultant with over 20 years of research experience in drug discovery across large pharma, academia and biotech. After completing her PhD in Organic Chemistry at the Australian National University with Prof. Michael Sherburn she continued post-doctoral studies in this field with Prof. Samir Zard at Ecole Polytechnique. Her career in medicinal chemistry started at Novartis in 2006 where she led medicinal chemistry projects in gastro-intestinal and respiratory disease areas.  She has experience as a Lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry at UCL and QMUL, and as a computational medicinal chemist in oncology projects at the ICR. More recently she has led drug discovery projects in immunology at Sitryx Therapeutics and as a Director at MSD London.
